![]() ![]() Glitchy, bug-riddled app, low ball delivery offers, less and less surges and boosts, reduction in quests, etc. However, those quests have dried up since the start of the new year. It’s a really easy job, but one who have to be smart about to make money. Also, you can start and stop working whenever you want, no boss or corporate ladder, and make decent money without trying too hard. It’s not like the government doesn’t compensate you on taxes for you use of your vehicle. ![]() Your car is how you make money, and if you do it right, the depreciation is worth it. Most jobs that pay around $22 an hour either need a degree or are very competitive. My best week was $41/hr, my worst week was $16/hr, and an average week is around $22/hr. It’s alright now, I’m just not feeling this anymore. That definitely took some of the sparkle away from this. I was lucky some days to pull a $10 an hour average. Mid December through mid January was rough for everybody. The discounts they offer, other than Rosetta Stone and free tuition are no different than a “use my affiliate link so you spend money on something you don’t need, but I make even more.” Morally questionable to offer “benefits” to drivers that clearly brings a greater financial benefit to Uber than it does to a driver. Why should I get down rated because I am looking for a man named John, and not his wife, so she is upset I didn’t magically know she is my passenger. ![]() I shouldn’t be penalized for not wanting to help a high schooler and his girlfriend skip class. I don’t feel comfortable picking up someone named “basketball emoji”. Not only is Uber at a mediocre pay now, they’re setting you up to make less. They were also long rides, which I rarely received UNLESS I was in a series. I did have consecutive trip bonuses, however, Uber would conveniently send me rides with outrageous pickup times whenever I was trying to complete a series. I never got quests, but from what I heard, they are hardly worth it. Why depreciate my car any further for that? Most jobs starting pay is what Uber pays now. At the time, I was surprised to find that Uber was paying me 30% more than I would have made at my salaried job I ended up opting to drive full time. I started driving with Uber last August as a way to make it through a period of unemployment. ![]()
